MONDAY, NOVEMBER 15th Thanks to all of you who have called and wondered how we have weathered Nor'Ida. Thank Goodness she is finally out of here, but left one big mess!!!!!!! We decided after 3 Nor'Easters in 30 Days, it was time to hang it up for the 2009 Fishing Season. I am sorry to say that our up and coming four scheduled Striper Trips have been cancelled and if you need more information about where and who to go for Stripers and Tog, please give me a call and I can turn you on to a really good Captain who is catching quite a few right now. I want to take this time to Thank all of you for making 2009 fishing season a great one and hope to see all of you again next year.

Well, the long awaited Winner of the Annual Mega Cash Pot went to Faye Griffith from Seaford, De. I am so glad that a Lady has Won our very First Annual Mega Cash Pot. Faye is really a Sweetheart and was right here to collect her $657.00 Mega Cash Bucks and she said that she might just get a really nice new Fishing Reel with some of her winnings. Faye Fishes all over and just came back from Rhode Island Tog Fishing. All in All, Faye's winning 5.5 pound Flounder netted her $64.00 onboard Fish Pool, $164.00 Monthly June Mega Cash Pot plus $657.00 for the year. You add it all up and that is one Pricy Flounder and Faye said it really tasted good too. Pictured is Faye with her Big, Beautiful, Gorgeous $657.00 Mega Cash Bucks. Please check out our 2009 Photo Gallery for another picture of Faye with Capt. Dan on the left and Runner up, Ben Bolton to Faye's right. Just look at her smile, a picture says it all. By Popular Demand, we will definitely be doing a Second Annual Mega Cash Pot for 2010.

Halloween, Saturday, October 31st, the Forecast was again dismal with SW winds 20-30+. It seems that every weekend we have crappy weather. Several anglers showed up and the weather started off beautiful, overcast with no winds and slight misting rain. I was hoping that for once the weather forecast was wrong. The "Reliable II" headed out and Capt. Dan went back to his "Honey Hole" and the action started right away with cries of "Fish On". Some nice size Tog were coming over the rail. Albert Miller caught two, Ben Bolton from Newark, De., caught five, Rick Martin from Dover, De., caught a couple. Bill Robinson from Elkton, Md. caught a beauty. George Thompson from Pa., a "First Timer" on the "Reliable II" did not have a clue how to Tog Fish. Ben Bolton showed him what to do and then there was no stopping George. George caught several nice size Tog and won the onboard Fish Pool. Before the "Reliable II" left that morning. I had given Ben Bolton a very large Shark Hook and some big fresh juicy oysters to entice that "Reef Monster" or "Mystery Fish" from his hole. Ben said he tried and something stole the bait right off of the hook and all was quite and the "Mystery Fish" did not rear his ulgy head. Capt. Dan said the weather conditions were perfect first thing in the morning to around 11:00 a.m. Anchored up, the "Reliable II" laid perfect on the structure and then those predicted winds of 20-30+ really kicked up. It really got rough and the "Reliable II" returned home at her regular return time. All together, about 20-25 legal nice size Tog were caught along with some throw backs. Of course, lots of big ugly Oyster Crackers were also caught. If any of you are Interested, I have some really good recipe's for Oyster Crackers. No kidding, some of our anglers love Oyster Crackers and I have seen several up on the Fish cleaning station to be cleaned.
